Tannat: Virginia vs. The World Blind Tasting
This sit-down event will feature our traditional cheese board to pair with Michael's selection of Tannat & Tannat blends from Virginia and around the world. Michael will conduct this educational blind tasting with discussions to follow each of the four flights of wines.

BORDEAUX BY DAY & BY NIGHT Saturday, Jan 28th. Michael Shaps and renowened Bordeaux expert Clement Brown will lead an in-depth tasting & educational seminar in the afternoon and a wine dinner and pairing in the evening.

Clement Brown has chosen an impressive line-up of highly regarded Bordeaux wines from some of the top Chateaux for this seminar and educational wine tasting. French-born Clement began his career in Bordeaux with an internship at a negociant house, then became part owner of a Chateau, and later became the Bordeaux buyer for Seagram Chateau & Estates, the premier Bordeaux purchaser in the United States. Clement will lead an in-depth discussion of the wines, paired with our traditional cheese board. Limited seating at $75/person.
Bordeaux by Night: 7pm, January 28th. WIne dinner:
Clement Brown has chosen another impressive line-up of high-end Bordeaux wines for this Wine Dinner prepared by Will Richey and his chefs at Charlottesville's newest venture Brasserie Saison, serving a menu that combines "Old World" cuisine with the bounty of Charlottesville area farms. This is a rare opportunity to taste exclusive wines paired with a menu that highlights the complexities and nuances of one of the world's famous wine regions. Clement will lead a discussion of the wines with each course. Limited seating at $125/person.
The cost to attend the Bordeaux by Day (Seminar/Tasting) is $75/person and the Bordeaux by Night (Wine Dinner) is $125/person. meritage library tasting sat nov 19th

Join us on Sat. Nov. 19th from 11am-5pm at the Harris Creek Winery for a vertical tasting of the Michael Shaps Meritage featuring the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages. A one-time opportunity to taste wines from Michael's "library". The wines will be available for purchase during the event. The tasting fee is $25/person and Wine Club Members will receive their 20% discount on any wine purchased. Tasting Room Manager Cassandra Bard will conduct the tasting. RSVP to email@example.com.
Walk-ins will be welcome if event is not sold out. This is a casual, open-house style event. Wear warm clothing as this tasting takes place in the cellar area.
